Breaking down golf trends by region reveals some interesting insights
A new nationwide survey by The Golfers Club asked golfers across the UK to tell us more about themselves and their golfing habits. This included age, gender, handicap, club membership and more to paint a picture of the UK golfer.
The results as a whole were fascinating, but when we broke them down into region, the picture became even more interesting as it showed how the average golfer differs across the UK.
Did you know, for instance, that in Northern Ireland, there are a higher percentage of female golfers than anywhere else? Or that in Scotland and North West England, golfers are particularly loyal to their chosen clubs? Our infographic breaks down the results for you by region, so you can see how you stack up against golfers in your area. Are you typical of your home region, or do you buck the trend?
No matter what kind of golfer you are, or what part of the UK you hail from, having the proper insurance cover is increasingly important to make sure you and your equipment are protected in the event of injury or theft. It will also cover you should you accidently injure another person or damage property.
